Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at our Cincinnati, OH location. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities within the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Review Tax Returns

The Tax Manager will be responsible for preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax regulations.

Manage Tax Filings and Compliance

The Tax Manager will manage property tax, sales tax, and use tax filings and compliance, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.

Ensure Tax Accuracy and Compliance

The Tax Manager will ensure all tax filings are accurate and submitted in a timely manner, and will work closely with outside tax preparers to ensure accurate and compliant preparation of tax returns.

Develop Tax Strategies

The Tax Manager will develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position, staying current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assessing their impact on the organization.

Manage Tax Audits and Inquiries

The Tax Manager will manage and coordinate tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required for this role.

CPA Certification

CPA certification is required for this role.

Experience in Tax Preparation and Compliance

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance is required for this role.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required for this role.

Attention to Detail and Accuracy

Strong attention to detail and accuracy are required for this role.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role.

Ability to Work Independently

The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities is required for this role.

Proficiency in Excel

Proficiency in Excel is required for this role.

Knowledge of Depreciation Software

Knowledge of depreciation software is preferred for this role.
