**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Enlivant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality meals are prepared and presented to our residents.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food ordering, receiving, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
- Manage a team of culinary staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize kitchen operations.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of one year of culinary experience in a senior living or skilled nursing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and perform occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to stand for at least 80% of the scheduled shift.
