Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Habilitation Specialist 1 to join our team in providing vocational services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Supervisor of Rehab to develop, document, and implement vocational services, including Community Habilitation, Community Based Prevocational, Pathways to Employment, and SEMP (Supportive Employment).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement vocational services plans for individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Work with and supervise direct care employees to ensure high-quality services
  • Develop and provide opportunities for community inclusion and participation
  • Track and attend life plan meetings and clinicals
  • Ensure billing follows Medicaid standards based on vocational services provided
  • Assist with investigations and other tasks as assigned by the Quality Management department
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or higher-level degree in a human services field
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
