Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist 2 to join our dynamic team at Los Alamos National Laboratory. This role will be responsible for providing operational support to our programs, facilities, and organizations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring high-quality support and resolution of issues.
  • Assist with and coordinate the review and revision of procedures, scope, and process development and improvement pertaining to organizational or facility operations.
  • Ensure that processes are followed through to completion with efficiency, accuracy, and high quality, while understanding and maintaining priorities.
  • Provide direct support of operations in programs, facilities, or organizations that have an operational or process-based deliverable.
  • Contribute to the organization's goals and objectives, working under limited direction and receiving general instructions on new assignments.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution and 4 years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and listening skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills providing excellent and professional customer service to individuals at all levels.
  • Experience in basic operations support functions, including technical writing, document control, records management, assessments, and metrics.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and interact professionally with team members, other organizations, and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with specialized facility management or operational systems, particularly within high-security or high-sensitivity environments.
  • Proven track record of identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements in a complex operational setting.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in data interpretation and reporting.
