Position Overview:
This role involves conducting patrols, documenting incidents, and responding to both emergency and non-emergency situations across the facility as directed by security management.

Key Responsibilities:

(10%)* Accompany patients to various locations within the facility as requested by healthcare staff.

(30%)* Address all inquiries and calls from the public and hospital personnel.

(10%)* React promptly to emergencies occurring within the hospital.

(50%)* Supervise surveillance systems and provide assistance to visitors and patients from a designated desk area.

Additional Duties:

Respond to all requests for assistance and monitor CCTV for any suspicious activities, dispatching security personnel as necessary.

Facilitate helicopter operations and manage access to secured areas in accordance with established protocols.

Report significant incidents to the security management team through the appropriate channels.

Enforce parking regulations as instructed.

Escort staff to and from their vehicles upon request or assignment.

Address all panic alarms activated within the facility.

Ensure that contractors working in restricted areas possess the necessary permits.

Complete incident reports as required by organizational policies.

Adhere to all departmental and institutional policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Certifications:

Driver's License: Valid driver's license required for those operating company vehicles.

Basic Life Support (BLS): Certification must be obtained within three months of hire.

Techniques for Effective Aggression Management: Certification required within six months of hire.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent experience is essential.

Skills and Experience:

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups.

Ability to engage with individuals at all levels and convey information clearly.

Annual completion of OSHA training is mandatory.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to handle stressful situations involving public interaction, including trauma and grief.

Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment as necessary.

Mobility throughout the facility is required, with the ability to perform job functions as outlined.

Visual and auditory acuity is necessary, with or without assistive devices.

Frequent periods of sitting, standing, and walking are expected, along with potential postural adjustments.

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious materials may occur; adherence to safety protocols is essential.

Capability to manage multiple tasks, maintain regular attendance, and work independently is required.

Physical Demand Level: Light. Must be able to occasionally lift or carry 11-20 lbs and frequently handle lighter weights.
