Job Title: Senior Python Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Software Engineer to join our team at Aloden, Inc. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing complex software requirements using Python, REST API services, and C#.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver software solutions to meet business goals.
  • Ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
  • Code solutions, unit tests, and integrate successfully into the overall application/system.
  • Contribute to story refinement and estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement.
  • Perform spike/proof of concept to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Utilize multiple architectural components in design and development of client requirements.
  • Collaborate with team to resolve technical complexities involved in realizing the story work.
  • Contribute to existing test suites and analyze test reports.
  • Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, and support.
  • Participate in delivery/release, including branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, and release notes.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of extensive experience working as a developer using C#, Python - server side.
  • Exposure to enterprise messaging solutions (e.g. MSMQ, TIBCO EMS, AMPS or related technology).
  • Database development skills, experience with Object databases and Relational databases - SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase.
  • Experience developing software using Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of JIRA tools and Continuous Integration capabilities.
  • Familiarity with web services, web sockets, and microservice-based architecture is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in writing unit and UI integration test cases.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experienced in communicating complex solutions with both technical and business users.
  • Excellent ability to debug applications.
  • Experience of Second Level Application Support.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with minimal oversight and supervision.
  • Source code management - Bit Bucket/Git.
  • Experience in Financial/Commodities Trading/Investment Banking.
  • Worked as part of globally distributed teams.
