Culinary Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Cook to join our team at Christian Park Healthcare Center. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents
• Follow standardized recipes and menu cycles developed by registered dietitians
• Cook and prepare appetizing meals in quantities that are served at the proper temperatures and within the appropriate time frames
• Use food supplies and equipment in an efficient and economic manner to prevent waste
• Prepare and maintain food alternatives to accommodate resident choices and refusals of meals served
• Supervise culinary staff with regard to food storage, food preparation, tray assembly, and cleaning
• In the absence of the chef and/or dietary manager, the Cook supervises the culinary center's employees

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year of experience as a Cook or Dietary Aide in an institutional food service setting preferred
