Diagnostic Electrician

Join Freeport-McMoRan Inc. as a Diagnostic Electrician and contribute to the success of our operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine and non-routine repairs and construction of electrical systems, including removal, repair, and installation of electrical components.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Collaborate with other electrical workers to mentor and train them on electrical systems and procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards for electrical installations and renovations.
- Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical, and/or Instrumentation Program, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance, or equivalent experience.
- Associate's degree or Trade School Certification in a related field, and two (2) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience with VFDs, PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA Control Systems.
- Experience working with low and medium voltages.
- Experience with AC and/or DC controls.
- Experience with instrumentation devices.
- Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment.
- Experience with HVAC equipment.
