Job Summary

The Veterinary Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of pets, clients, and other associates in our hospitals. As a key member of the hospital team, you will support and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing quality veterinary care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care and handling, including preparing patients for exams and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and clients to ensure seamless care and excellent customer service.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records and processing payments.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized hospital environment.
Requirements
  • Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to perform all required skills of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids in the efficiency of the practice.
