About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures using MRI equipment and your knowledge of anatomy/patient positioning for optimum imaging.
  • Explain the procedure to the patient and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification.
  • Evaluate the quality of the MRI procedure and determine if additional imaging is required, prior to communicating procedure information to the radiologist.
  • Participate in on-call duties as assigned to meet department needs.

Requirements

  • Required: 6 months experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Preferred: One year of experience as an MRI or CT technologist
