Mobile Building Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Building Engineer to join our team at Aerotek. As a Mobile Building Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities.
Your primary duties will include:
- Performing ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
- Maintaining, operating, and repairing all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.
- Performing assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
- Responding effectively to all emergencies.
- Preparing and submitting to management summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned work and recommending and/or suggesting action to be taken.
- Studying and becoming familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. This includes building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and any other building-related equipment.
- Complying with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognizing danger and safety hazards and proposing methods to eliminate them.
- Being willing and able to support any after-hours building-related activity as required.
- Candidates will be provided tools required to perform assigned work scope.
Requirements:
- Universal EPA 608 Certification
- Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong knowledge in technical aspects of packaged HVAC, plumbing electrical equipment repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders.
- Ability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application.
- Experience managing work orders, and utilizing CMMS technology.
- Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities.
