Job Title: Mechanical Build Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Build Technician to join our team at JUUL Labs. As a Mechanical Build Technician, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining lab equipment, preparing test plans and samples, and performing data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain all pieces of lab equipment and R&D line
  • Prepare test plans and samples for testing and perform data analysis
  • Report data to engineering team
  • Organize, store, and safely handle all chemical substances and manage laboratory supply inventory
  • Safely operate laboratory equipment according to written instructions and safety guidelines
  • Document process and procedures and provide assembly and design feedback from prototype process
  • Organize and label materials, hardware, working area, and any processes
  • Provide ongoing excellence, training, procedures, and protocols to all users of the lab
Personal and Professional Qualifications:
  • Typically requires at least 3-5 years of experience as a laboratory technician or equivalent
  • Experience with electro-mechanical designs and capable of reading an electrical schematic, wiring diagrams, and mechanical CAD models
  • Experience with 3D printing to produce prototype parts and assemblies
  • Skilled in using computers with experience with MS Excel, Google Sheets, and SolidWorks
  • Great personal organization and orientation to details and maintaining of test samples, records, and data
  • Ability to communicate well with cross-functional multi-disciplinary team and collaborate efficiently to achieve goals
Education:
  • 2-4 year degree in a related scientific field or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of previous experience as a laboratory technician or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in using machine tools for hardware prototyping

Salary ranges vary by role, level, and location, and are dependent on the cost of labor in a given geographic region among other factors. These ranges may be modified at any time. Salary range: $127,000-$175,000 USD
