Phlebotomy Technician

We are seeking a skilled phlebotomy technician to join our team on a casual reserve basis. This role is located at a client site in Bloomingdale, Illinois, and requires working Monday through Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm and every first and third Saturday from 8am to 2pm.
As a phlebotomy technician, you will be responsible for providing expert phlebotomy services to patients, including performing venipuncture collections, processing lab specimens, and ensuring accurate order entry in multiple systems.
Responsibilities:- Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age-related standards and in accordance with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Demonstrates AIDET model and optimizes patient safety to reduce the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Receives and reviews physician orders; ensures that all necessary information is included for appropriate lab services.
- Communicates effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care.
The estimated salary for this role is $38,000-$48,000 per year, depending on experience.
