RN - Stepdown ICU Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our team in the Intermediate Care Unit at St. Jude Medical Center. As a RN in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals requiring intermediate-level care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with complex medical needs, including those with DKA, Sepsis, Trach/Vent, post-stroke, and post-open heart surgery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, contributing to the development and implementation of patient care plans, and ensuring seamless communication among team members.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex patient needs, making informed decisions to optimize patient outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current California Registered Nurse License.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association certification.
- 1 year of nursing experience.
