Job Responsibilities
The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining and conserving customer facilities and buildings in exceptional condition, as well as all equipment and systems, to achieve outstanding operations and safety performance.
Essential Functions
- Perform light maintenance duties such as inspecting drivers, motors, belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and following inspection lists.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments, electrical, and electronic testing devices.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by reading blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, safety policies, procedures, and strategies for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Fulfill work order requests and determine when subcontractors need to be called to perform major maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Associate's Degree Preferred
