Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality healthcare to its members in a cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of common diseases in the specialty field and be able to assess, diagnose, and effectively treat patients.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and formulation/implementation of treatment plans for patients with common acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
  • Perform health maintenance services, including patient education, for well members.
  • Refer patients for specialty consultations or difficult problems.
  • Document all care in patients' permanent medical records in accordance with accepted medical/legal standards.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Graduate of ANA-approved NP training program or equivalent requirements to meet State Licensure.
  • High school diploma or GED.
License, Certification, Registration:
  • Registered Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse within 6 months of hire.
  • Nurse Practitioner License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License (Washington) within 6 months of hire.
  • Registered Nurse License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Nurse Practitioner National Certificate from American Association for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration Registration.
