Body Fit Plus Inc is seeking a qualified Psychologist to join our team at a correctional facility in Soledad, California.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Psychologist to provide psychological services to mentally ill inmates/wards. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Psychologist, Supervisor, and/or the chief of Mental Health.
Responsibilities- Provide psychological services to mentally ill inmates/wards, including crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, and face-to-face interviews.
- Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history, to assess inmate's current needs and make treatment recommendations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect the standard of practice, and consult with supervisor, treatment team members, and institutional healthcare personnel as needed.
- Document all care provided to the inmate, including face-to-face contacts and Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IOTTs) meetings.
- Monitor inmate progress using Subjective Assessment Plan Evaluation (SOAPE) FORMATTED PROGRESS NOTES.
- Establish collaborative ties with community programs, groups, agencies, board and care homes, etc. to develop supportive community relationships.
- Conduct mental health education and develop additional resources for mentally ill and sex offender inmates/wards.
- Assist patient-inmates/youths in applying for entitlement benefits (SSI), community programs, and services.
- Compile and analyze data from audits pertaining to the mental health program requirements.
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution.
- Clinical competencies must be current.
- Valid Photo ID, Driver's License or Passport (Required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association.
- California Psychologist license (Hard Copy Required).
- Health Insurance.
- Quarterly Bonus.
- 40hrs paid sick time.
- Payroll.
