Refrigeration Maintenance Specialist

At CCG Business Solutions, LLC, we are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of our equipment and facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and a proven track record of troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical systems. You will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance repairs, conducting emergency repairs as needed, and troubleshooting issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and facilities
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment
  • Conducting emergency repairs as needed
  • Troubleshooting issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
  • Safely applying knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment
  • Effectively interacting with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals
  • Minimizing downtime due to equipment failure

Requirements for the position include:

  • 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or education in lieu of experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls, including experience with ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation
  • Effective communication and basic math skills required

Special requirements include:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop
  • Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling
  • Frequent overhead work
  • Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements
