Echocardiography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Diagnostic Technologist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing complete echocardiographic examinations, including M-mode, two-dimensional, and Doppler echocardiography on clinical and/or research patients.

• Perform echocardiographic examinations, including M-mode, two-dimensional, and Doppler echocardiography
• Assist cardiologists, fellows, or other personnel in performing transesophageal echocardiographic and stress echocardiographic examinations
• Coordinate efficient patient flow, staff assignments, educational support, and highest quality procedures consistent with IAC standards for Echocardiography

• High school diploma and completion of a two-year echocardiography training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or cardiovascular technology program accredited by the CAAHEP
• 1+ year's echocardiogram experience preferred
• Registration by a national certification organization such as American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
