This role offers the chance to collaborate with a dynamic team comprising the program director, law enforcement, first responders, clinicians, case managers, peer specialists, and community mental health workers. This community-oriented crisis response initiative represents a progressive approach to managing mental health and substance use emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in rapid response efforts to stabilize individuals in crisis.
- Provide immediate resources and support to reduce the necessity for emergency room visits and inpatient care.
- Foster community connections to enhance support systems.
Work Schedule:
This program operates 24/7, offering shifts across various days and times. Flexibility is essential, with potential evening and weekend coverage. Some shifts will involve mobile outreach, and compensation is competitive, reflecting skills and experience.
Overnight shifts are on-call, compensated at a flat hourly rate for remote hours, plus an additional fee for community-based assessments, depending on qualifications. Per diem candidates should be available for a minimum of two shifts monthly, making this an ideal opportunity for those seeking supplementary income.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Certified Medical Assistants or Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach and embrace diverse perspectives.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Bilingual candidates are particularly welcome.
