Pet Groomer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team at Pet Supplies Plus. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to our furry clients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver High-Quality Grooming Services: Provide thorough and gentle grooming services, including brushing, bathing, and conditioning, to meet the needs of our clients and their pets.
• Meet Client Expectations: Groom and style pets according to owner instructions and/or breed standards, ensuring a positive experience for both the pet and the owner.
• Pet Safety and Wellness: Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in our care, monitoring their behavior and physical condition at all times.
• Build Client Relationships: Develop long-term relationships with pet owners by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that promote pet health and happiness.
• Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach efforts to attract new clients and promote our store's services.
• Store Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain a clean and inviting grooming environment.
• Team Collaboration: Assist store team members during grooming downtime and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in retail or a service industry, providing exceptional customer service.
• Training: Willingness to enroll in our paid grooming training program.
• Physical Demands: Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
• Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Certifications: Must pass a drug, background, and validated selection test, and be at least 18 years old.
