Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Implementation Consultant to join our team at BlackLine. As a Technical Implementation Consultant, you will play a critical role in assisting our clients' technical teams during the implementation of BlackLine products.

Your primary responsibility will be to act as the primary liaison with client technical teams to ensure their technical environment can sustain and support BlackLine products. You will collaborate and provide support to other internal BlackLine professionals during all phases of implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support BlackLine connector implementation projects and act as a technical resource for customers and Professional Services team
  • Be a liaison between the Professional Services team and the BlackLine connector technical team
  • Work with clients and management to define and document business requirements in order to implement connectors, set up web services connections, APIs and/or comparable solutions
  • Configure BlackLine web services and APIs in order to establish data connectivity for clients' existing ERP systems
  • Participate in multiple concurrent implementation projects with little to no supervision
  • Maintains thorough documentation throughout the implementation to include billable hours, Salesforce notes & documentation, expense management, et cetera
  • Manage and sets proper expectations with stakeholders (internal & client) throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Offer recommendations to clients for improving performance gaps and system options to achieve best functionality
  • Assess and troubleshoot & test BlackLine products during the implementation cycle

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Previous implementation experience
  • Ability to maintain multiple shifting priorities simultaneously
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of contacts in the organization (support staff to VP's and Controllers)
  • Journal + Clearing (posting on account, f-32, f-28, f-30)
  • Understanding key data element BAPI payments, customer data structures, GL-Accounts, Open Items
  • Postings in Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL)
  • Postings in Cash Management group (FI-CA)
  • Knowledge of SAP FICO Modules, including but not limited to FI Tables of ECC and S4
  • Knowledge of SAP process for AP, AR, Assets, Transactions and Material Management including technical background of SAP Tables
  • Knowledge of web services, JSON messaging
  • Knowledge of API installation and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of middleware systems and configuration for ERP systems
