Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to join our team at Newport Sand & Gravel Co. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of concrete production, batching, and dispatching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the efficient and safe operation of the concrete plant, including batching, dispatching, and delivery.
  • Supervise a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they are working safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet production demands and customer needs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and company safety policies.
  • Perform daily and monthly SPCC plan inspections, and maintain up-to-date SDS sheets for all products on site.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve plant efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL Class B Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift, maneuver, and climb ladders as required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work long and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
