Job Summary

Kreider Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Specialist. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our offices, classrooms, and group homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain offices, classrooms, and group homes, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Wash windows and walls to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Clean lights and vents to ensure optimal functionality
  • Shampoo carpets to maintain their appearance and extend their lifespan
  • Strip and wax floors to maintain their shine and durability

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other janitorial duties as assigned by management
  • Assist with snow removal and other outdoor maintenance tasks

Requirements

  • Two years of previous custodial experience in similar settings
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors in extreme weather conditions. They will frequently travel within the county and may be required to work alone. The physical demands of this role include:

  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions

The worker will be subject to inside and outside environments, extreme heat or cold for periods of over one hour. They may be exposed to noise that would cause them to have to shout, as well as a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, etc. They may also be exposed to body waste products.
