Job Title: Curriculum Specialist

Utah State University is seeking a highly skilled Curriculum Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for converting various forms of relationship education curriculum into e-courses for posting on our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Convert curriculum content into engaging and interactive e-courses
  • Work with staff to prioritize curriculum translation work and make decisions about which content to convert and which to leave out
  • Adjust curriculum content to fit the e-course environment and convert content to an appropriate reading level for the audience
  • Develop active-learning exercises and other instructional elements consistent with our e-courses
  • Consult with instructional designers on content conversion issues and work with UMC staff to review and approve converted content
  • As directed, create e-course content from existing webinars, podcasts, and other materials
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in family science, human development/developmental psychology, or a closely related discipline
  • Good knowledge of family life education and experience working in a family life education environment
  • Strong writing skills and ability to create engaging content
  • Self-starter, self-disciplined, and well-organized with the ability to work independently and remotely
  • Work well in a complex team environment and be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in family life education, family science, human development/developmental psychology, or a closely related discipline
  • Professional experience developing, revising, or converting relationship education curricula
  • Experience with family life education, USU Extension, and/or the Utah Marriage Commission or Healthy Relationships Utah
  • Experience with remote work and ability to work effectively in a virtual environment
