Novant Health is seeking a highly skilled Health Information Management Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Health Information Management Department, you will be responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating the activities related to all on-site Health Information Management workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of Health Information Management standards and systems.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of Health Information Management staff, ensuring timely and accurate processing of clinical records and documents.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, TJC regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Assist in regulatory survey responses and foster working relationships with other departments to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective Health Information Management operations.
- High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Minimum three years' experience in Health Information Management, OR two years' experience in a supervisory/leadership role, required.
- RHIT or RHIA, required.
- Experience with fostering strong relationships with members of a medical staff; knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and other related regulations that pertain to medical record/hospital records.
- Experience with the EPIC EHR and/or Hyland On Base scanning application.
