About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our Float Pool team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing routine radiographic procedures and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Operate radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure their understanding
  • Independently operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met
  • Complete quality control procedures and notify/remediate as necessary
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
  • Minimum 3 years ARRT(RT) experience
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Unlimited state license (if applicable)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
