Medical Surgical Acute Care 6 Job Description

Indiana University Health is seeking experienced nurses to join our team in Medical Surgical Acute Care 6, a 39-bed unit that provides high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. As a nurse on this unit, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and work with a team of dedicated professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

  • 39-bed unit with 6 progressive care level unit rooms
  • Primary focus on gastrointestinal procedures, with also including ENT and GYN
  • Nurses are trained to care for a variety of medical/surgical patients

Qualifications
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
