Job Title: Production Operator

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Shift Hours: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11pm & 3rd shift

Pay Rate: $19.40/hr

Position Overview:

The Production Operator is responsible for executing various tasks on the production line and handling materials in a manufacturing environment. This role requires adherence to production standards while performing manual operations and operating machinery that necessitates basic mechanical skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections of components, materials, and final products as part of the production workflow.
  • Execute activities as outlined in batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Sample and assess products according to established methods, recognizing deviations and notifying supervisors as necessary.
  • Identify and manage non-conforming products, ensuring established labor standards are met.
  • Provide insights and feedback regarding commodity and process challenges.
  • Ensure quality products are transferred to subsequent processing stages.
  • Collaborate within a team to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and communicate effectively.
  • Adapt to changes constructively and participate in initiatives aimed at process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SOPs, and plant policies.
  • Evaluate process and equipment performance based on established protocols, working with team members to optimize quality, cost, compliance, customer service, and safety.
  • Perform additional related duties as required, including outdoor work for material handling.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Ability to accurately follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to make minor mechanical adjustments and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Must successfully complete the GMP test and obtain necessary area certifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Physical activity levels may vary based on specific assignments.
  • Must adhere to safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted and up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
