Pediatrician - Developmental Care Specialist
4 weeks ago
Cortica is a rapidly growing healthcare company that is pioneering a unique, interdisciplinary approach to the care of children with neurodevelopmental conditions.
We are seeking a Pediatrician to join our care team, who will provide gold standard developmental and medical care to patients at Cortica.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest and passion to care for children with developmental differences and their families, and will be able to collaborate closely with cognitive-behavioral pediatric neurologists, epileptologists, and pediatric nurse practitioners to diagnose and treat genetic, metabolic, neurological, GI, and other conditions that commonly occur in children with autism and other developmental diagnoses.
We provide in-depth training and ongoing education to support our physicians to become experts in the diagnosis and management of pediatric neurodevelopmental conditions.
Our centers are collaborative environments full of professionals who are passionate about serving this unique population.
The interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, EEG technicians, counselors, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, behavior therapists (ABA), music therapists, and more.
As a pediatrician on our care team, you'll provide comprehensive care to patients, including nutrition modification and supplementation, medication management, and neuromodulation (device therapeutics).
We use a wide range of medical therapies to optimize developmental outcomes for our patients, and you'll receive training and support to learn to apply these therapies.
Cortica utilizes a comprehensive set of standardized assessments to track developmental outcomes, and you'll gain a deep understanding of these assessments and will use outcome metrics to guide your patients' comprehensive therapy programs.
Physicians at Cortica generally spend 60 minutes for new-patient appointments and 30 minutes for follow-up appointments, and your schedule will be weekdays only with no evening or weekend coverage (no on-call requirements).
We welcome applications from physicians at all levels of experience, including new graduates from residency programs, and you will partner with tenured medical professionals for support and training.
Our compensation and benefits package includes a $3,000 continuing education stipend, 34 hours per week of direct care with 6 hours of protected time, flexible hours morning or afternoons, 401k matching, more than four weeks paid time off, continuing education/wellness day and holidays annually, book club, health, vision, dental and pet insurance, salary range (DOE) $216,000 - $270,000, referral bonuses, and up to 5% annual bonus (eligible after 4,400 wRVU).
We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with applicable federal and state law.
