Job Summary

This position is responsible for developing and implementing a program of professional academic education and services to students in the area of Adult Basic Education (ABE) & Math. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing required documentation, monitoring and managing student behavior, attending staffing meetings, and serving on both school and institution committees.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a program of professional academic education and services to students in the area of ABE & Math
  • Complete required documentation, including student assessment/progress and other reporting requirements
  • Monitor and manage student behavior
  • Attend staffing meetings and serve on both school and institution committees
  • Provide training to other staff, interns, etc., and engage in specialized instruction and special projects
Requirements

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, including at least 20 semester credits in Math
  • Meet criteria determined by the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) in Adult Basic Education (ABE)
  • Meet one of the following areas:
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Elementary Education
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Secondary Education in the area of Reading, English, Math, Science, or Social Studies
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher with a minor or 15 combined semester credits in Math, Reading, English, Science, or Social studies
