The Job
We are seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of traffic-related projects and be able to leverage their expertise to help create company standards, lead and mentor younger staff, and impact projects across the organization.

Responsibilities and Requirements
• Possesses specialized discipline or functional expertise that is utilized across office and/or business line boundaries to complete work.
• Actively assists the Project Manager, or acts as project manager, and assigns tasks and schedules to Staff Engineer (I/II), Project Engineer (I/II) and non-exempt project team members, answers questions, and monitors progress.
• Participates in the creation of firm-wide standards related to their area of expertise.
• Makes design decisions for area of expertise that meet the needs of external customers while coordinating the impact of such decisions on related project efforts.
• Pro-actively identifies technical, schedule or financial issues and seeks resolution from the Project Manager and/or the client, as appropriate to the situation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, and be professionally registered.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on Traffic related projects including studies, analysis, traffic signal design and modeling.
• Possess a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. PTOE Certification is preferred.
