Geisinger is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their skilled nursing program. As a Geisinger provider in a non-Geisinger facility, this role requires an advanced practitioner with prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility, family medicine, internal medicine, or ICU.
About the JobThis is a Monday through Friday position, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies and be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Basic Life Support certification is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in skilled nursing facilities
- Communicate with SNF staff for patient needs and review reports
- Treat patients for acute needs, admissions, discharges, etc.
- Manage complex patients, see every day or at least once a week
