Staff Physician Opportunity in Corpus Christi, TX

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Physician to join our team at the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). As a Staff Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are served by our State Supported Living Centers (SSLCs).
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and monitor the delivery of high-quality medical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities served by SSLCs.
- Diagnose and treat individuals with complex medical, psychiatric, and/or behavioral health needs.
- Provide direction and guidance to the treatment team in medical issues and ensure health care plans are properly implemented.
- Monitor the health care trends of individuals and update treatment strategies and plans as indicated.
- Ensure medical treatment is properly integrated.
- Must be licensed as a medical doctor by the State of Texas.
- Must have current registration certificates from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
- Experience leading, supervising, and/or managing the work of others.
- Clinical experience.
- Residency trained.
