Job Title: CNC Machinist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at Blum USA. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for fabricating and reworking new and used machine parts for all our machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completes set-ups and monitors the quality of all machined parts
  • Develops methods for improving the performance and methods of fabricating machined parts
  • Complies with all safety procedures and policies
  • Provides change support for new spare part introductions
  • Plans and performs activities within a team environment
  • Uses Machine Shop software and databases to plan and document all fabrication activities
  • Supports the performing of preventive maintenance on shop equipment
  • Supports the training and development of apprenticeship candidates as directed
  • Works a rotating shift schedule with flexibility to work whenever required
Requirements:
  • 2-year associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred
  • Completion of a DOL approved technical apprenticeship program with an emphasis on metalworking is preferred
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience in a medium-sized Industrial/Manufacturing environment is required
  • Knowledge of metal fabricating equipment, tools, mechanical devices, and their uses to include tooling fixtures, measuring fixtures, and work piece holding devices
  • Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, and applications associated with metal fabricating including heat treating, milling, grinding, EDM, coating, deep freezing, and polishing
  • Precision measuring, blueprint reading, use of machine shop equipment, use of hand or power tools, use of welding equipment, English/metric conversion
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and their applications
