Job Description

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Medical Support Specialist. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors, while also providing exceptional customer service and support to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history, and physical examination
  • Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Ability to fluently and proficiently speak and read in both English and Spanish
