Job DescriptionWe're seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced product designer to help us reimagine the antiquated staffing industry. This role involves collaborating with software engineers, working closely with our field teams to design practical solutions for customers, and partnering with our Head of Product (also a designer) to bring our product vision to life.
Key Responsibilities:- Champion user-centric design, eliminating friction, and incorporating defaults to enhance usability and accessibility.
- Employ first-principles thinking, balancing 'why' and 'how' in problem-solving.
- Deliver impeccable design craft, showcasing excellent taste and attention to detail, and understanding how small interactions create seamless interfaces.
- Develop a systems-thinking approach, authoring our design system, defining UI patterns, governance, and processes for engineering and design teams.
- Use design to solve complex problems, including hardware, software, service, and other challenges.
- Foster deep collaboration with the team, users, and stakeholders to form and solve diverse ideas and problems.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, structuring ambiguity, iterating quickly, and adapting without ego.
- 5-15 years of in-house software design experience.
- A track record of solving complex UX and UI problems.
- Mastery of software design tools, such as Figma.
- Experience building or contributing to multiple design systems.
- Understanding of software development principles and coding skills (ideally).
- Validating designs through informal usability testing.
- Shipping features and user experiences that drive impact.
- Desire to work at a startup and tackle a wide range of tasks.
- Strong work ethic, ambition, and a drive to make a difference.
- Eternally optimistic attitude and pleasant personality.
The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000, reflecting market analysis and relevant factors. We consider exceptional candidates with qualifications exceeding outlined requirements for possible adjustments.
