Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at INX International Ink Co. in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment, as well as promoting and practicing safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical work as directed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Maintain and repair all production equipment and the industrial facility
  • Implement improvements on existing equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime and improve efficiency
  • Disassemble machines and/or install new parts or equipment and reassemble
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Maintain the work area in 5S condition
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-4 years of related experience and/or training in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Strong electrical skills, including motor controls, codes, and troubleshooting
  • Mechanical skills
  • Excellent written, reading comprehension, and math skills, as well as the ability to use computer and electronic systems
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and/or schematic drawings to determine proper work procedures and assembly requirements
  • Direct knowledge of how to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, mixers, and processing equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to complete designated tasks on time
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely work from heights in a boom or scissor lift and on ladders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification from a college or technical school
  • Experience setting up and operating various tools, including predictive maintenance systems
  • Forklift experience
  • Welding, cutting torch, and pipe threading experience
  • Hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge
  • Previous experience in the ink/chemical processing industries
