ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Security Supervisor 2, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Training and mentoring junior security personnel on facility protocols and security practices.
  • Managing the interactions of residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the agency's communication center.
  • Supervising your assigned shift and managing the vehicle registration system.
  • Conducting patrols of the facility grounds, buildings, and surrounding areas to maintain a secure environment.
  • Handling various communication duties, including operating the switchboard and monitoring emergency systems.
  • Sorting and distributing mail, maintaining key control logs, and providing staff locator services.
  • Monitoring security software and hardware, managing documentation, and operating communication equipment.

WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week

  • Standard work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotating days off.
  • Compensation: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain cases.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience and Training:

  • One year of experience as a Security Officer 1; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience or training that equips you with the necessary skills for supervisory security services.

Special Requirement:

  • A valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Compliance with Pennsylvania residency requirements.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.

Legal Considerations:

  • A conditional job offer will necessitate a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position is subject to the Older Adult Protective Services Act, requiring satisfactory criminal history reports.
