Responsibilities

  • Set tables to meet the function specifications, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized presentation.
  • Deliver necessary equipment and beverages from storage areas to event locations, maintaining a high level of efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Set and display food and beverages on buffet tables, adhering to our high standards of presentation and quality.
  • Serve food, beverage, and accompaniments to catering clientele in a friendly and courteous manner, exceeding guest expectations.
  • Quietly remove china, glassware, and silverware from meal areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Deliver dirty china, silverware, and glassware to the appropriate kitchen's dishwashing station, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
  • Return equipment and unused beverages and dirty linen to appropriate storage locations, maintaining a neat and organized workspace.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Polish equipment, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Organize catering storage areas, ensuring a well-organized and efficient workspace.
  • Attend mandatory meetings, staying informed and up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all assigned side work, taking initiative and ownership of tasks.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • At least two years of experience in the food and beverage industry as a server.
  • Knowledge of plate service and ability to carry three plates at once.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance standards.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting to set up and execute an event.
  • Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations.
  • Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisor.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of setting a table for a sit-down dinner with the appropriate serviceware and menu items.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English language in order to communicate with management and guests.
  • Ability to remember and recite the menu options.
  • Ability to transport up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to remove plates away from guests quietly.
  • Ability to carry a tray of beverages long distances.

Compensation

$23.02 per hour
