Diesel Equipment Technician

At WM, we're seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for performing preventive maintenance services, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisition new parts.
- Perform all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
- Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Requirements:
- Completion of a Diesel Training Program through an accredited Technical School preferred.
- Two (2) years of relevant work experience working on diesel or CNG heavy trucks.
- Valid driver's license and must have a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Work Environment:
Our normal setting for this job is a repair/maintenance shop. You'll be required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity, handle objects less than 50 pounds, and be exposed to physical occupational risks and physical environment elements.
