Job Summary:
Mercy is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neuro Trauma Intermediate PCU. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill post-operative traumas, stroke patients, and medical overflow in a 16-bed fully monitored unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with neurological and trauma-related conditions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in patient care
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods
