We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Mitchell Martin, Inc. in New York, NY.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will operate radiologic equipment and perform mammography procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Move imaging equipment into specified positions, determine exposure factors, and adjust equipment controls to produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Explain breast self-examination procedures to patients and answer their questions.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
  • Perform Quality Assurance tests as required by the MQSA and assist with the MQSA inspection.
Requirements
  • Mammography specialty training certification (ARRT-MG).
  • NYS RT License with Injection.
  • Active BLS training.
