Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA: 2:45p-11P to join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical and psychosocial well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, and other essential activities.
  • Assist with mobilization and transfers using assistive devices and body mechanics, ensuring resident safety and comfort.
  • Record vital signs, weights, measurements, intake, output, food consumption, and other relevant information as assigned by nursing staff.
  • Turn and position residents regularly to prevent pressure ulcers and promote comfort.
  • Observe residents closely and report any changes in condition to the Charge Nurse, ensuring prompt intervention and treatment.
  • Support residents' autonomy and independence within the constraints of the care environment.
  • Collaborate with nurses to collect data for MDS and plan of care, providing input and insights to inform care decisions.
  • Prepare residents for meals, transport them to the dining room (unless on bed rest), and ensure access to self-help devices and assistance when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of food intake and output, as directed.
  • Promote established housekeeping standards within assigned areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Assist nursing staff with basic aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection and contamination.
  • Become familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill & Evacuation Procedures, and know how to use this information effectively.
  • Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse, while safeguarding their personal property.
  • Acknowledge and adhere to attendance standards per Attendance Policy.

Requirements

  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification from the state.
  • Maintain CPR Certification.
  • High School Graduate or GED.

Estimated Salary

$38,500 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
