Job Title: Medical Transplant Coordinator

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Transplant Coordinator to join our team at MedPOINT Management. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of care for transplant candidates, ensuring timely access to services, and maintaining departmental policies.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and working effectively in an independent environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate members' care to ensure member and provider satisfaction
  • Assure that sent requests are complete with all necessary clinical and member information required for review
  • Adhere to CMS and DMHC regulations for timeliness standards

You will also be responsible for processing referral requests for organ transplant initial evaluation and related services, verifying member eligibility and Health Plan contracted Center of Excellence, and maintaining knowledge of the State of California's Center of Excellence for organ transplant services.

Requirements:
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in managed care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
