Resident Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Resident Inspector to join our Construction Services team at Stantec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting and reviewing construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and review construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Monitor construction progress, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality standards are met.
- Communicate with project stakeholders, including project managers, design professionals, clients, and contractors.
- Review change orders and field orders for reasonableness of pricing and constructability.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses for timely site opening.
- Review plans, specifications, requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings, and pay applications (QA/QC).
- Prepare documents and maintain file management of project-related information.
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes, construction principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and understanding of task assignments and schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in understanding engineering drawings for infrastructure rehabilitation, replacement, and upgrades.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Construction management training and OSHA 10 training beneficial.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
