The primary objective of this role is to assist our community members in achieving their financial aspirations by delivering exceptional products and services. This is accomplished through outstanding service to both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a personalized and rewarding experience to members by implementing various member engagement strategies, utilizing sales skills as measured by member satisfaction surveys. Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their financial priorities and connecting them with our solutions that align with their goals.
  • Accurately process a defined percentage of teller transactions as determined by management, adhering to the over/short policy.
  • Handle new account setups and account maintenance with a focus on quality assurance, utilizing sales techniques to identify member needs and provide appropriate credit union solutions.
  • Demonstrate reliability by completing assigned tasks promptly and managing communication regarding absences effectively.
  • Achieve or surpass sales referral targets for ancillary products.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and professional demeanor that supports organizational objectives. Maintain a professional appearance and utilize effective communication skills when representing BrightStar Credit Union.
  • Adhere to all credit union policies and procedures, including compliance with government regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in required training sessions as directed by management and actively seek knowledge of all credit union products and services.
  • Provide support to other branch locations as needed based on business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: One to three years in a similar role or related field.

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Interpersonal Skills: A motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and a focus on results, acting in the best interest of members. Demonstrates enthusiasm, commitment, and a drive to enhance members' financial well-being. This role involves personal interactions for conflict resolution and relationship building, requiring discretion and diplomacy.

Additional Skills: Must be available for Saturday shifts and proficient in operating a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard.

Compliance:

Employees are expected to uphold compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies. Awareness of unusual or suspicious activities relevant to the department is essential. Completion of annual training courses related to compliance is required.
