Russian Language Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled Russian Language Instructor to join our Defense and Homeland Security Division. As a Language Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and teaching language courses in accordance with customer instructions.

• Develop and tailor language courses to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and strategies.
• Supplement instruction with contemporary authentic materials to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Utilize classroom technology, such as SmartBoard/Symposium, audio/video/DVD components, and computer applications like Microsoft Office, to create an immersive learning environment.
• Employ blended delivery modes, including platform, online, distance, asynchronous eLearning technology, and self-paced instruction, to cater to diverse student needs.
• Provide constructive feedback on student progress to ensure they meet their language learning objectives.

• Must be a U.S. citizen to support this contract.
• Native Speaker with an ILR proficiency level 4 in reading and listening in Russian, or a speaker with native capability in English and a minimum ILR proficiency level 3 in reading and listening in Russian.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Five years of experience in adult language education and methodology, including:
  • Three years of experience developing and teaching using blended learning.
  • Three years of experience developing and teaching language courses from basic through advanced level, with a focus on translation, grammar, listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing.
  • Two years of experience identifying and using authentic materials to support objectives.
  • Two years of experience assessing student performance.
