About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team at Jobot. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership role in managing our company's financial records and transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports as needed.
  • Manage company ledgers and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial data.
  • Process company payroll and ensure all payroll taxes are paid on time.
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to create forecasts and financial reports.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
  • Conduct internal audits on financial activities as necessary.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience with bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities such as client bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, payroll tax returns, and sales tax returns.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheet programs, and other business-related software systems.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
