Job Summary:

As a Dental Assistant at Community Health Centers, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of dental professionals. Your responsibilities will include assisting dentists with patient treatment, preparing patients for procedures, and educating patients on oral health best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist dentists with patient treatment, including preparing patients for procedures and maintaining patient records.
  • Screen and prepare patients for treatment, including verifying patient information and obtaining medical histories.
  • Process instruments and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide patient education on oral health best practices and promote preventive care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Dental Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited school or training program, including dental radiology.
  • Successful completion of Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate (EFDA) within 9 months from date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years' experience in a dental setting.
  • Ability to effectively use computer software and an electronic health record system.
